Welcome to Pet Loss Companion (“the App”). The App is designed to provide a gentle space for reflection, memories, letters, journaling and emotional support after the loss of a pet.By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.1. Purpose of the App
Pet Loss Companion is a well-being and journaling tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic or crisis support services.
The App may provide prompts, reflections, letters, memories, comfort phrases, breathing exercises and AI-assisted reflections. These features are for informational, self-reflection and emotional support purposes only.If you are in crisis, feel unsafe, or may harm yourself or others, contact local emergency services or a licensed professional immediately.2. EligibilityYou must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should use the App with permission from a parent or legal guardian.3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. You must not misuse the App, attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with it, disrupt its functionality, or use it to create unlawful, abusive, harmful or offensive content.4. AI Features
Some features may use AI-generated content. AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. AI-generated content does not replace professional advice, medical care, therapy or human judgment.
You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional support, diagnosis, treatment or emergency assistance.5. Purchases and Subscriptions
The App may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. Payments, refunds, cancellations and subscription management are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store according to their policies.
We do not store or process your payment card details.6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, visuals, branding and features within the App are owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from the App without prior permission, except where allowed by law.7. Availability and Changes
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the App or parts of it at any time to improve functionality, security, compliance or user experience.
We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.8. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the App will always be error-free, uninterrupted, secure or available on all devices.9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of data, emotional outcomes, or decisions made based on App content or AI-generated content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Most personal content is stored locally on your device.2. Device Permissions
The App may request device permissions only when needed, such as:
• photo or media access, if you add images;
• microphone access, if voice or recording features are available;
• storage access, if required to save or export content.
You can manage or revoke permissions in your device settings.3. How We Use Data
Your data is used to:
• provide the App’s features;
• save your preferences;
• display your memories, letters and reflections;
• generate optional AI-assisted reflections;
• improve app stability, security and user experience.4. AI Processing
If you use AI features, the text you submit may be sent to a third-party AI service provider to generate a response.
Do not submit sensitive information that you do not want processed by an external AI provider.
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be considered professional advice.5. Data SharingWe do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your private journal, letters, memories or reflections with advertisers.
Data may only be shared:
• when required to provide optional AI features;
• when required by law;
• when necessary to protect our rights, users or the App.6. Data Storage and Retention
Most App data is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete it, clear App storage or uninstall the App.
If you export, share or copy content outside the App, you are responsible for where that content is stored and how it is handled.7. Security
We use reasonable measures to reduce unnecessary data collection and protect App data.
However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.8. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data.

Pet Loss Companion is designed to store most personal content locally on your device. This means your memories, letters, journal entries, reflections, pet profile information and preferences are usually stored on your own device rather than on our servers.1. How to Delete Your Data
You can delete your data by:
• deleting individual memories, letters, entries or reflections inside the App, if available;
• using the “Delete All Data” option in Settings, if available;
• clearing the App storage/data in your device settings;
• uninstalling the App from your device.2. What Happens When You Delete the App
If your data is stored locally, uninstalling the App may permanently remove your saved content from your device.
If you previously exported, copied or shared content outside the App, deleting the App will not delete those external copies.3. AI Submitted Content
If you use AI features, the text you submit may be processed by a third-party AI provider to generate a response.
We do not control deletion timelines or retention practices of third-party AI providers beyond their own policies.4. Cloud Data
The current App is designed primarily for local storage. If cloud-based features are added in the future, you will be able to request deletion of cloud-stored data by contacting:
